Greetings!
Congratulations for signing up for Engage Yourself, Engage Your Listeners: Speaking with Confidence, Clarity, & Connection!
This course contains several modules—each module will work on a specific skill. We will start with building a confident state, then work on clarity of message, then storytelling, then how to use your voice and body to enhance your communication, and finally, we will work on speaking extemporaneously.
Each module will contain videos, as well as worksheets for you to fill out. You will be asked to complete Action Steps with each module. This is a very important part of your learning and development–to integrate the skills, practice them and ultimately make them your own.
My goal in working with folks, is to always have them be their most authentic, natural self. To help them assess themselves, and build on their existing skills. You want to feel confident, like you are having a conversation with a good friend, talking about something you really care about. That’s when you are at your best.
This course is designed to help you stretch your range—move outside your comfort zone while improving your skills. I encourage you to practice at work, practice with friends and family. The more you “own” the skills, the more effective you will be. Enjoy the journey!

Module 4: Your Voice Matters!
The tone and quality of your voice have a big impact on communication. In this module you will learn about the importance of your voice, and how you can work with it to make it become more resonant and more expressive.
Module 5: Your Body Speaks!
Body language has a huge impact on communication. Learn how to make sure you are communicating what you intend to be communicating with your body. To be believed, your body language needs to be congruent with your message.
Module 6: Speaking on Your Feet
It’s time to focus on speaking spontaneously. We do it all the time. In this module you will learn how to keep relaxed and “in the flow” when the spotlight is on. Most of all, enjoy!
