INTRO: Speaking on Your Feet
It’s time to focus on speaking spontaneously. We do it all the time. In this module you will learn how to stay relaxed and “in the flow” when the spotlight is on. Let yourself get fully committed to the moment. It takes awareness and practice to become more spontaneous. Most of all, be aware, look around, and enjoy! There are three lessons:
Part A: Use Thoughts & Beliefs for Speaking Spontaneously
Part B: Breathing & Body Awareness
Part C: Theater Improv Exercises
Each Lesson contains Videos and Tips to introduce the topic, and Worksheets with Action Steps to help you practice.
One thing I’ve noticed in my years of working with CEO’s and other leaders is that most of them have a very good handle on thinking and speaking on their feet. Listening, receiving information, then responding immediately and decisively is their bread and butter. Oddly enough, my training as a performer has given me skills, approaches, and exercises that I can share to make them even better at this. I hope you find it useful to you in your personal and professional life.
Enjoy!
Jean

It kicks off with a nice introductary Video to the Course and an overview of Presentation Skills. Jean talks about doing both the Inner Work and Outer Work to be your best self as a presenter. What beliefs and attitudes do you have that support you in getting better? What skills do you need to communicate better?
The Welcome Module is also a good place to find descriptions of each of the Modules in the Full Course. This can be handy for deciding if you are ready to buy the Full Course.
In addition, there is a fillable PDF Assessment Form for you there!
The first step to improvement, is to know what you want to change. Use this Assessment to rate your current approach to Communications skills, and get some clarity on where you want to grow. It is great to do this Assessment before and after, so you can see how far you have grown.
